The Waste Ombudsman uses Paloma for events and newsletters
Martin Borgs is a film maker and author who has in recent times become known as the Waste Ombudsman, mostly thanks to the Facebook page of the same name. By 2013, the page had gathered over 25,000 likes. The Waste Ombudsman works on behalf of the Swedish Taxpayers' Association, and Martin Borgs is also on its board of directors.
The Waste Ombudsman is tasked with informing the Swedish people of cases where taxpayers' money is used incorrectly. This is done, for example, through the publication of film clips on Youtube and status updates on Facebook, but also by arranging events and lectures.
Magnet was very useful in Almedalen
Martin Borgs has chosen to use Paloma's event tool Magnet to easier be able to manage registrations when he holds his events, and will be using more of Paloma's tools for other communication in the future.
– I have long been eager to try Paloma's services because I subscribe to many newsletters made with Paloma's tool for newsletters, Postman. I also think it's nice to use a company from Dalarna, which is where I come from, says Martin Borgs.
During the summer, Martin Borgs arranged an event for Almedalen Week in Visby that had over 400 attendees. He put on a stand-up show called "Laugh or Cry" on the theme of waste.
– Dealing with a large number of registrations is not very easy. But using Paloma's event tool, Magnet, made event administration both simple and fun, says Martin Borgs.
Simplicity makes the tool fun to use
The benefits Martin mainly highlights are that the tool is so easy to understand, and that it has a stylish graphic design that makes it all the more fun to work with.
– It's easy for both the customer and us to administer guest registrations. You buy the ticket and can print it out yourself complete with barcode and everything. Then we just receive the guests by scanning the tickets with a standard smartphone.
Very good support from Paloma
Martin Borgs thinks the service he received from Paloma was a big help when he was preparing to start using Magnet.
– I appreciated that the personal advice was so good and that Paloma could tailor their solutions and services to suit me. I will be using more of Paloma's tools in the future and have already started to look at their newsletter tool, Postman, and the survey tool, Kurios, says Martin Borgs.
